Methods
90% of our stump removal is carried out by what is called stump grinding, we have invested into 2 machines that allow us to remove stumps in almost any location, the smallest machine will go through a standard gate, and the larger machine needs an opening of 36”.

If stump grinding is not an option we will always try to find a solution.

How does it work?

The machines chip away at the stump leaving finely ground mulch which can be recycled.

Both machines can grind at least 12” below ground level.

Is there much ground disturbance?
The machines we use create very little ground disturbance and in many cases when working on lawns and in areas that need to be maintained boards are put down for the machinery to run on so any disturbance to the ground is kept to a minimum.

What happens to the waste
Once the stump has been ground out there will be the waste product which is a combination of soil, stone and wood chippings, we can either take this away from site or it can be used as compost within your garden.

How will the job look once finished?
Once the job has been completed there are several options to how we finish the job,

• The mulch can be left in a neat pile where there stump use to be.
• We can take the mulch of site.
• Top soil and even turf or seed can be supplied and put in the area where the stump use to be

How much does it cost?
Unfortunately we don’t have set prices as every job we carry out is very different to the next as location, size of stump will change the price, all our quotes and advice are free of charge and confirmed in a written quotation.

In most circumstances it can be cheaper to allow us to carry out the work than it is to hire a stump grinder, this also gives you peace of mind that the job will done by a fully insured company and qualified staff.
